Aloft Hotel is a 4 Star Hotel & part of the Marriott Group located in the heart of historic Dublin. Aloft aimed to improve energy efficiency by optimising HVAC systems and implementing enhanced control strategies.
Action
AHU 1 Optimisation: Using CPOS, we identified & resolved simultaneous heating & cooling issues. Expected electrical savings from isolation of the A/C unit & gas savings from control updates on heating circuits. AHU 2 Optimisation: Using CPOS, we adjusted AHU schedule & isolated LPHW valve for temperature stability. Galned control over A/C units through the AHU controller. Correct commissioning of heat recovery loop executed for optimal efficiency. Miscellaneous Measures: Identified additional savings potential with electrical heater control optimisation, Boiler control updates for demand-based operation, Solar thermal installation to support hot water requirements, Solar PV & smart metering system for real-time operational effidency reporting
Conclusion
Aloft recouped their initial investment within the first two months and so far have achieved over €50k in annualised savings with no CapEx investment.
